Reading CarnivaLe

by Irwan Shah

Everyone is anticipating the day... the Reading Day but I'd like to call it the "Reading Carnivale".
I know some of you are a bit clueless of what exactly is going to happen on that day. Let's just say everyone is going to realize how important reading is in our life on that day and it is not just a passive activity like we are used to hear. It's on this day that teachers and students will go hand-in-hand to bring in the joy in reading. Expect a variety of activities (you should have seen a copy of the lists of activities in your classroom)

For my bit, Cg. Azril and I are going to put up an enrichment module/lesson for the students on everything that you need to know about blog.blogging.blogger... basically anything about b l o g. I have put up announcers just like the one above on the notice boards in most school blocks except for the toilet (haha)

Qsn: So basically what are we going to cover on that session?

Ans: The following is the itenerary/programme for the session:
1). What is a b l o g?

2). How to create a b l o g ?

3). Some blogospheres available... local mainly...

4). Interactive sessions >> Students create a new school blog meant for students.
>> walk through the process in accomplishing a blog... incorporating
blog elements/ items.
>> take photos / upload photos /
>> upload comic strips by students.

p/s: To those students who are interested in joining this activity, please kindly direct yourself to the venue shown in the announcer above and don't be late because the seatings are limited in the ICT LAB. Hopefully by the end of that day, you will discover a new way of expressing yourself (i.e. thorugh bloggiNG) See you there!
