Pada 26 dan 27 Januari 2008, Pasukan pengakap menyertai perkhemahan pengakap yang diadakan di Sekolah Menengah Awang Semaun. Tujuan utama perkhemahan ialah untuk memberikan pengalaman kepada ahli pengakap SMMG untuk berkhemah dan mempelajari asas pengakap

Kuiz Hijrah 1429/2008

Team Laila Wijaya has won this year Kuiz Hijrah competition beating Indera Negara 49-29.  The competition was held in the school hall.  Laila Wijaya and Indera Negara passed through the elementary round which saw the involvement of all 4 sports houses of SMMG namely Laila Wijaya, Indera Negara, Hamzah Pahlawan and Pekerma Raja.

Briefing for Parents of Menengah 3 & 5

Recently, Sekolah Menengah Menglait hosted a brief academic talk to some parents of Menengah 3 & 5. It is also the school's annual project which aimed at informing parents about the school's effort in helping students to excel in their academic field.

Among important matter delivered by the speakers were about the PTP (Practice Until Pass), examination related topics and also about the newly-formed Counseling Section of this school. The event took place at the school hall. It was observed that the school received an encouraging support from parents in comparison to last year.

Scholarhip roadshow for Menengah 5

Yesterday, all form 5 students attended the scholarship roadshow at the school hall.

Cikgu Hj Azis, acting assitant director (scholarship section) and a few officers from 

MOE delivereed the information to the students.

Cikgu Faizah also shared her experience as a scholarhip awardee student 

when she did her A level and degree in the UK.

A day in a history (lesson..)

How fun is learning history?  Different people have different views on learning history.  Some do like it but some don't.  

In history there are a lot of information like names, dates, details etc.. These are the things that makes history an important subject.  Without history, we won't be as knowledgeable as today. History keep records of what happened along the journey of our life (or even the earth's life).

Let us join cikgu Dina's class on learning history.  Today her class will have the  chance to try their archeological skill in finding old, hidden items around the school.

Like previous year, all form 4 students will involve with the National Day practice.  The practice in school will be done everyday  from 14th Jan to 31st Jan (except Tuesday) in the afternoon @ 2-4 pm.

New School journal for 2008

This is the new school journal for 2008.  Lot of thanks to Mrs Holland and her team for the refresh and elegant new look of the school journal.  This journal is a bonus for the students.  The school fully sponsored the cost of the journal and let the students have them for free.  Of course if you lose it, you will have to pay the full $7.00 for replacement.
